ASTN partners with innovation leaders Meshpoints and Spacecubed to fast-track sports innovation in WA

Meshpoints is an initiative of Spacecubed Foundation, supported by Lotterywest, and is a collaborative network of organisations and individuals building a thriving innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Western Australia.
The Catalyst Create grant will enable ASTN to continue delivering a range of programs and events to grow and fast-track early-stage and growth-stage sportstech startups. In addition, ASTN will activate and connect the WA sports innovation community through a series of networking events and educate the sports market on trending sports innovation themes.
“We are excited to be partnering with Meshpoints and Spacecubed who are the leaders in activating and growing innovation and entrepreneurship in WA.” said Craig Hill, cofounder of ASTN.
Since ASTN first established its activities in WA in July 2023, the Meshpoints and Spacecubed team have hosted some of our events and provided us with important connections to the local technology, innovation and investment market. This work will build on initiatives delivered by ASTN over the last two years in partnership with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation’s New Industries Fund (NIF).
“We met the ASTN team a few years ago and were impressed with their ability to deliver high quality, targeted innovation programs for the sports industry in other states.” said Nate Sturcke, Head of Impact with Spacecubed. “It is fantastic to formally partner with ASTN on this initiative and for ASTN to become an active Meshpoints member to accelerate the growth of WA’s sportstech sector.”
Programs and events associated with the initiative will be rolled out over a 12-month period commencing in July, with opportunities for startups and innovators to participate in the ASTN Accelerator and Pre-Accelerator WA programs.
