Winner: AntiOrdinary

Anti Ordinary A2 Helmet

Anti Ordinary is redefining brain protection with the world’s first helmet platform that looks and feels like a beanie, while outperforming traditional helmets in independent safety testing. Our flagship product, the A2, is rated the safest all-mountain helmet ever tested by Virginia Tech’s Helmet Lab.

The innovation lies in two granted patents that integrate advanced materials science, including non-Newtonian compounds and a dynamic frame, to deliver a helmet that users want to wear. For decades, helmets forced athletes to compromise between safety, comfort, and style. Anti Ordinary removes that trade-off entirely, creating a new category of protective technology.

In just two snow seasons, the A2 has sold into 51 countries, secured a global licensing partnership with Volcom, and been worn by cultural icons such as Travis Rice, Bear Grylls, Jamie Oliver, amongst others. Beyond snowsports, the platform is designed to expand into cycling, skate, surf, medical, and military markets, unlocking a multi-vertical sports technology solution.

At its core, Anti Ordinary is not only about performance innovation, but about saving lives. By making helmets more wearable, we are driving adoption across diverse communities and reshaping the future of brain protection in sport.

Winner: BoostAR

BoostAR – Augmented Reality

BoostAR is an Australian innovation making augmented reality (AR) accessible and scalable for the sports sector. Traditionally, AR activations have been expensive, complex, and reserved for elite organisations. BoostAR changes this with the world’s first end-to-end AR platform, combining professional campaign delivery with a self-serve dashboard.

For fan engagement, BoostAR brings sport to life in new ways. Jerseys, tickets, posters, and merchandise can unlock exclusive content, player messages, or behind-the-scenes experiences. These interactions strengthen loyalty, increase social sharing, and create memorable connections.

For stadiums and venues, BoostAR enhances the live experience. Fans can scan signage, screens, or event collateral with their smartphone or tablet (no app required) to access interactive activations. This frictionless access drives adoption and makes AR practical for mass audiences.

BoostAR has already delivered activations for tourism and corporate clients including the Commonwealth Bank, BOQ Group, and Rio Tinto, while building recognition in sport as a QUT Sport 2024 Innovation finalist and a showcase participant at the NRL Magic Round Tech Showcase, where the platform was presented to over 100 sports professionals.

By lowering barriers to immersive technology, BoostAR enables sporting organisations to engage fans, activate venues, and deliver measurable value for sponsors.

Winner: BarTV Sports

BarTV Sports App Live “Player of the Match” Voting

As part of their award-winning cloud production suite and custom-built apps, BarTV Sports has now implemented a “Player of the Match” voting system which allows fans to vote on their “best on ground” while a match is live - and see the results automatically (at full-time) as part of the stream.

This new feature blurs the line between production and platform for viewers - polling votes from the public and injecting these results into live vision using BarTV Sports’ custom graphics engine. The BarTV production system collects team lists automatically from data sources, meaning this function can be automated across thousands of games every season, covering all age groups, genders, regions and skill level.

This feature was implemented in late August (in time for winter sport finals). Since launch, there have been 4386 live votes cast, across 813 matches (in just 47 days of operation). Users have pressed voting buttons a total of 7370 times (changing their votes mid-game). The most “voted” event was BarTV’s coverage of the NSW Cup Grand Final between the St George Dragons and New Zealand Warriors with 178 votes.

Winner: Your Brain Health

ScreenIT: The Brain Health Operating System

ScreenIT is the world’s first Brain Health Operating System, integrating more than 70 validated assessments into one digital platform to transform how brain health is measured, tracked, and managed in sport.

Concussion and cognitive testing in sport has traditionally been fragmented, paper-based, and inconsistent. ScreenIT digitises and standardises these processes, producing real-time reports and longitudinal insights that improve return-to-play decisions, better inform targeted rehabilitation, and enable earlier intervention when issues are detected.

Already adopted by elite organisations including AFL clubs, EPL teams, Formula 1, and international cricket, ScreenIT provides athletes, clinicians, and performance staff with a unified platform that has the ability to connect seamlessly with leading tools such as NeuroFlex, ImPACT, and VALD.

Every screen strengthens the system, building a unique global dataset that supports benchmarking, predictive analytics, and sport-specific research. This creates immediate value in concussion and performance management while laying the foundation for future innovation in athlete health and safety.

By making brain health measurable and actionable, ScreenIT is shifting sport from reactive injury care to proactive wellbeing, performance optimisation, and long-term athlete protection.

Winner: GravityFit

GravityFit – Intelligent Core Training System: TPro, G Suit and Axil Platform

GravityFit develops science-based equipment and apparel designed to strengthen and measure the body’s core and deep stabilising muscles. NASA-sponsored research validated the efficacy of GravityFit’s equipment and apparel, demonstrating that the most effective way to build deep muscle strength and endurance is through the combination of good postural form and axial resistance.

The company’s flagship products, the TPro and G Suit, apply this principle to activate, strengthen and build endurance in the key stabilising muscles that support posture, balance and movement. The TPro enhances spinal and scapular strength and postural control, while the G Suit’s engineered PowerMesh panels deliver controlled axial resistance to cue alignment and engage the deep muscles of the spine and trunk. Together, these tools form a complete system used across fitness, wellness, rehabilitation and sport to improve movement efficiency, injury resilience and performance.

Building on these validated outcomes, GravityFit is developing Axil, a next-generation intelligent platform that integrates stretch, pressure and EMG sensors with proprietary algorithms to measure and interpret deep-muscle activation and postural control in real time. Axil extends beyond data collection to provide guided intelligence, using AI-driven feedback and voice activation to coach users through optimal technique, prevent injury, and drive measurable performance improvements.

Winner: SportLogic

SportLogic Software Platform

SportLogic is a purpose-built sports technology and operations platform that makes it easier for racquet-sport venues to run and grow Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton, Squash and Padel.

Proudly developed in Australia to address the specific needs of Australian clubs, SportLogic has transformed the way racquet and paddle sports are managed. Instead of clubs and coaches relying on messy spreadsheets, paper diaries, or a mix of multiple disconnected apps, SportLogic brings everything into one simple system. Bookings, customers, memberships, payments, classes, POS and communications are all managed in a single place, streamlining operations while enhancing the player experience.

Racquet-sport venue owners are sport lovers first — they want to be out on court delivering great experiences, not stuck in the office wrestling with admin, bookkeeping, or inefficient systems. SportLogic solves that problem. By automating operations, SportLogic saves facility owners an average of 15 hours per week, freeing them to focus on growing their player community.

Trusted by more than 600 facilities, SportLogic has become the backbone of racquet sport management across Australia and New Zealand. In the past year alone, players booked over 2.4 million hours of court time through the platform, highlighting SportLogic's reliability and its impact on making racquet sports more accessible for everyone.
